About the editor

Roy Rubenstein is the editor of Gazettabyte. He is also the co-author, along with Dr. Daryl Inniss, Principal Market Analyst at LightCounting, of the book Silicon Photonics: Fueling the Next Information Revolution. Rubenstein is also Consultant at LightCounting Market Research.

His previous experiences include being a contributing editor for FibreSystems Europe, and before that, a senior analyst at RHK Inc. covering optical components and communications semiconductors. Rubenstein has also undertaken projects with market research firms Ovum, CIR, Heavy Reading and Informa T&M, and contributed monthly technology-trend articles for the London-based magazine, Total Telecom, and semiconductor articles for the UK electronics design magazine, New Electronics. He has also been published by IEEE Spectrum, The Times, Science & Vie, and the Economist Intelligence Unit.
